Privacy Policy
SocialRecruit is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information
Introduction
SocialRecruit ("SocialRecruit", "we", "us" and "our") is committed to respecting your privacy. Please read the following policy to understand how your personal information and other information you may submit will be treated.
This policy may change from time to time, so please check back periodically. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or delete portions of this Privacy Policy at any time without further notice. If we do this, we will post the changes to this Privacy Policy on this page and will indicate at the top of this page the new effective date.
Your continued use of the www.SocialRecruit.net web site and any corresponding mobile site (the "Web Site") after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
We encourage people to use our Services but to be careful with personal information and follow good Internet safety processes.
What Information is Collected From Me?
We collect and store the following types of information from users of our Web Site:
- Information you voluntarily enter on our Web Site, including personally identifiable information such as your name, address, e-mail address, phone number and profile information
- Information we collect from you through the use of cookies
- Information we receive from you via e-mail communications
- Information you provide in connection with your search for employment, such as your work experience and resume
To allow you to refer candidates, we help you download contact information of friends and/or professional connections from your email accounts and/or social media accounts. The connections brought to SocialRecruit via your email account integration will be stored on your account as your network connections.
Important: These connections remain as your own database and will not be shared with anyone. Social Media connections (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Google+) may be cached for up to 24 hours but will not be shared with anyone. In no event will SocialRecruit use your social media contacts without your permission.
Who Can See My Candidates' Information?
Candidate profiles are not searchable by anyone. When an independent recruiter uploads a candidate's resume or other information, no one can see that information except employers to which the resume or other information is provided.
Privacy and security are of paramount concern and we encourage all members to read our Privacy Policy. No other independent recruiters can see information you upload to the Web Site about your candidates.
All recruiters are required to upload a candidate's contact information. We reserve the right, however, to contact each candidate that you upload to the Web Site in order to verify that the candidate has given you permission to represent him or her.
Employer Contact Information Protection
No, SocialRecruit hides an employer's contact information from the marketplace. Only after an employer expressly chooses to engage with a candidate via the messaging feature will the candidate be able to reply to the employer's message.
The employment opportunity, however, may be posted on other free job boards or social media sites (using the job share feature). Please understand that job postings will be available to all users of the Web Site and consequently, we have no liability resulting from the copying, posting, distribution or use of any employment opportunity without the prior permission of the employer.
Cookies and How They Are Used
We may place Internet cookies on your hard drive. Cookies are small files that may be downloaded to your hard disk for record-keeping purposes. Among other things, cookies are used to:
- Remind us of who you are in order to deliver better service
- Estimate our audience size by determining repeat usage of our Web Site
- Help target advertisements based on user interests and behavior
- Measure certain traffic patterns to understand user habits
You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. By not accepting cookies, some web pages may not display properly or you may not be permitted to access certain information.
We also collect IP addresses (the Internet address of a computer) to track a user's session while the user remains anonymous. We analyze this data for certain trends in statistics, such as which parts of our Web Site users are visiting and how long they spend there. In general, we do not link your IP addresses to anything personally identifiable to you.
The ads appearing on the Web Site may be delivered by third-party advertisers. Certain information we collect from you, such as the number of times you have viewed an ad (but not your name, address, or other personal information), may be used to serve ads to you.
How is My Information Used?
The personally identifiable information you provide may be used to enable your use of the Services and support your customer relationship with us. We will not sell, rent, or lease your personally identifiable information to, or share your personally identifiable information with, third parties except as specifically authorized in this Privacy Policy.
If you are a job applicant: Your personal information and resume will be disclosed only as you see fit. No employer will see your personal information or resume without your prior consent. You have total control over who sees such information. Resumes and personal information are not searchable. By default, your profile is not searchable on SocialRecruit.
If you are an employer: Any employment opportunity posted by you can be seen by all users of the Web Site.
We may send you direct mailings or contact you by telephone about our various products and services. You may choose not to receive such mailings or telephone calls by contacting us at [email protected].
We may release your personally identifiable information when we believe that such release is appropriate to: (i) comply with the law; (ii) enforce or apply our Terms of Service; or (iii) protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users or others.
How Can I Access, Update or Delete My Information?
You can request the individual information that we have collected about you, correct factual inaccuracies in your information, remove personal information from our databases and/or update your personal information by contacting us at [email protected].
What Else Should I Know About My Privacy?
Third party Internet sites and services accessible through the Web Site have separate privacy and data collection practices, independent of us. We have no responsibility or liability for these independent policies or actions.
Please be careful and responsible online. If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
While we strive to protect your information, we do not ensure or warrant the security of any information through the transmission process, and you transmit information to us at your own risk.
